Earlier we had informed you about the Ferrari’s plans of entering the Indian market, which is the most popular supercar manufacturer in the world and whose posters could be found in every car enthusiast’s room. Speculations were there that the company may enter the market as early  as in January,

Now the company has not officially announced the month of their arrival but the same is expected soon. For quite a while the company was exploring and analyzing the possibilities of their success in our market and now we guess they have found the key to it.

According to Valeria Costa, Communications Director of Ferrari “Ferrari will enter the Indian market in the first half of 2011. Contrary to earlier speculations that Ferrari may get help from Tata Motors, Fiat’s Indian partner, for business operations  the company will come through the direct import route and will have an imported managing the business”

Ferrari is expected to offer the following cars in its line-up:

Ferrari 458 Italia 4.5 V8 420 HP 540 Nm 3.4 seconds 325 KMPH
Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano 620 HP 608 Nm 3.7 seconds 330 KMPH
Ferrari 612 Scaglietti 5.7 V12 540 HP 588 Nm 4.2 seconds 315 KMPH
Ferrari F149 California 460 HP 485 Nm 4 seconds 310.59 KMPH
Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M 4.3 511 HP 470 Nm 3.7 seconds 315 KMPH

With Ferrari entering India the exotic car market will get a sudden boost and for brands existing or planning to enter India like Koenigsegg, Bentley, Spyker, Bugatti etc. the competition will get better. The demand for such ultra luxurious cars is increasing day by day which is quite evident with the sales figures of Porsche and expecting the same, Ferrari has got fair chances of making it big.
