Ford will manufacture Figo in its Chennai plant which will be both more eco-friendly and cost effective plant for Ford because of cheaper material and labor costs in India. The size and price segment will bring some more competition to Hyundai i10, Hyundai i20 , Maruti Ritz , Chevrolet Beat, Tata Indica  and Maruti Swift.

Ford Figo Price In India From Rs. 3.6 Lakhs To Rs. 5.45 Lakhs

looks interesting. ford seems to have forgotten the latest preference for 1550mm plus hieght. before this launch of B segment car, ford should have also created a dealer network in most of B class towns. design would be preferred by indian audience over chevrolet beat and its important for ford to keep its prices lower then chevrolet beat. keep spare parts cheaper. its the most crucial time for ford to get foothold in indian market, before its too late.

  • swine

if the petrol engine spec is going to be 70 bhp at 6250 then that will be far lower than beat/i10 and ritz.

Features and look really good. A price of < 5lakh for diesel will be reasonal for the car. What about the most important part of it "mileage" ??

  • Rohit

    @Sanjeev
I expect the fuel mileage of petrol variant to be around 15KMPL in the city and Diesel to be around 18KMPL in the city, this is somewhat similar for this segment of cars depending on their engine size and weight.

i planed to have a Swift VDI, now i changed my mind. figo is cool, deasel model is giving better accilaration , price is affordable.
seating comfort and interor is good, spacious interiors and boot

  • Nchetri

I have booked a Figo 1.4l diesel engine and below is the test drive review…

    Interiors

Spacious for a hatch. Fit and finish is typical european. Heavy doors and no misaligned panels. Stereo sounds the same as the Fiesta’s and that’s a good thing. It is easily one of the best OEM stereos around. Slightly lacking in bass but clarity is very good. Does not crack up at even high volumes. Lots of leg space evenn while you are sitting in the rear seats..

    Test Drive

I test drove only the TDCi. Was not interested in the 1.2L petrol. I had to wait a good 45 mins for my turn as the showroom was jam packed. The Figo TDCi, as epxected, is fantastic to drive. The turbo probably kicks in as low as 1200 RPM. I did not feel it at all. The power delivery is very linear and Unlike the Swift D, it pulls easily without any kind of lag from 3r gear from speeds as low as 20. I did not get too many chances to test the handling but it was very good. A fast U turn was taken with near zero body roll.

Ford should ensure rear power windows (as an option at least, as they are doing for alloy-wheels/front-fog-lamps).
Believe me, I’m ready to buy petrol titanium, but just waiting till next month, if they ensure for “rear power windows”. Had gone to Lathangi Ford, bangalore – and they are saying, technically it’s very much possible (and will cost hardly INR. 3000 – 4000).

FORD should seriously think on this.
Just imagine Tata-Nano is having all power windows.
Today I saw Punto 1.2 Dynamic Ad, which highlighting “ALL-POWER-WINDOWS”.

  • CR Raju

All the features are pretty good but you should have put at least the option of power windows which would have definitly added on to its real value. It may not be costing much in the course of the assembly line. Why one should go in to fix the controls on a new car which he is buying as he feels it is good. I am going for one from Trivandrum show room. Hope you will definitly look into it urgently.

I think it is cool..though the review from the others also and a test drive by myself gave me no choice, only to go for the figo

  • durgesh

i purchase a-star . Now I can confidently say that i hv made right decision. Engine is very smooth and gear box is also as smooth as butter. After sale service of Maruti Auto vista extremely good. I strongly recommend this car for those who are thinking to purchase this car. Good fuel economy care. Good for small family.

kinetic design/ Body design its a crumpled design. It has engine collapse design and it is available in petrol as well as diesel variants. The car has less maintenance and burn less hole on your pocket

  • Yogender Yadav

Figo is a good choice because its available in diesel also and a very reliable car for short fammily.

  • George Sesil
