Its been a while since Tata took over the two globally renowned brands, Jaguar and Land Rover but had not presented any cars in the Indian market of these two brands and now to turn the heat on in the super luxurious segment comprising of Mercedes S-class, BMW 7-series and Audi A8, Jaguar has brought in its very popular and highly appreciated Jaguar XJ.
In January at the 2010 Auto Expo, Tata Motors’ Senior Vice President (Commercial), Passenger Car Business Unit, Mr. S Krishnan had confirmed their plans of bringing XJ to India and said, “We notice a very intense aspiration in India to own an XJ. We are encouraged by the number of customers who have expressed a desire to own this iconic car.”
The car will be no less competition for the existing cars in the top end segment and will certainly give them a run for their money and the credit goes to its top notch engineering. The brand plans to increase its number of dealerships from 2 to 8.
