Maruti Suzuki has decided the Phase Out of Maruti 800 and Maruti Omni from the cities where BS4 Emission norms are to be applied. These cars are not getting and engine upgrade unlike other Maruti cars like Maruti Wagon R , Maruti Suzuki Swift , Maruti Swift Dzire , and Maruti Suzuki Alto which are either already upgraded or will be upgraded by April 2010.
Maruti Omni has been a very successful and cost efficient car from Maruti but with the launch of Maruti EECO in almost the same space and price segment, Maruti will be slowly phasing out Maruti Omni as the Emission norms will be applied all over the country.
If you were thinking about buying a Maruti Omni, consider Maruti EECO as it comes with a better and more advanced engine and is a newer technology car compared to Maruti Omni. For more details on Maruti EECO, check out –
