Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced that they will be opening a new R&D center at Manesar near Gurgaon India on a big scale by the end of year 2010. Maruti Suzuki India currently has about 570 Research and Development Engineers at Gurgaon plant. This number will be almost doubled to a strong 1000 Engineers by the end of 2010. Maruti is hiring more and more Engineers for the same. Maruti will spend approx Rs. 4000 crores on research and development in the year 2010.

The research facility will be at par in technology to the Parent company Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan and will focus on developing new cars for Global Markets. The R&D centre will also have a crash testing facility which will further reduce the manufacturing costs for Maruti because getting crash testing done from outside is very expansive.

Maruti is already running lots of research projects out of its Gurgaon based R&D department and it has successfully helped in designing cars like Maruti A-Star, Maruti Swift Dzire , Maruti SX4 etc. Also there is research going on CNG models of some of the Maruti Cars. Maruti is expected to come out with some of the CNG car models in year 2010.

    Dear Sir,
I am principal in one of the private institute of engineering in Baroda, INDIA.
The whole world is after development of rotary Internal combustion engine.
I have got brilliant idea for this development. It has only rotating parts
and no reciprocating parts. Its efficiency will be maximum as there will be
no friction. It works on same principal of compression and ignition, hence no
chance of failure.it has intake and expansion stroke in single rotation.it has
trimendous terbulance of mixture for complete combustion.

Let me know how I should go further for its development and funding.

    Thanks Mr. Rohit,
As such the engine has compression, ignition and expantion, & exhaust as per the cycle. It has no chance of failure. Some institute or company has to come forward to join me.
    thanks a lot dear.
