  1. Love it but theres been one thing that has been troubling me and that’s the height of the Pillion foot rest. At 66 both myself and my wife now ride a 350 Classic and this has been the first bike my wife have been comfortable on and willing to ride pillion. Our previous 2 Japanese motorcycles, at my wifes age have been uncomfortable to ride Pillion for a long distance due to the sitting position. The ’66 Interceptor had a flat, level silencer, as my 350 Classic design has. The ’69 Interceptor was a raised silencer but the geometry was such that the rear footrest seemed still to be lower than the new Interceptor. We both wait to see this lovely looking machine, in Australia and a chance to test this sitting position. Now I see a chance for R.E. to make a little modification and call a third edition the “Classic Interceptor”, go back to the ’66 design and give it the low slung exhausts and low pillion footrests and make my day.
