269,000 Honda CR-V SUVs Recalled In USA Over Risk Of Fire

In Honda’s latest recall to address a fire hazard possibility in some of its vehicles, Honda has ordered a recall of close to 269,000 CR-V crossovers from model year 2002 to 2006. The problem relates to a master switch that controls the power windows of the vehicle. Many owners filed complaints regarding this problem and in response National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, USA has started investigating the vehicles, after which Honda announced the recall. Ford India Recalls 1.28 Lakh Figo And Classic Cars For Suspensions And Steering Problems

SIAM Puts Forward Voluntary Recall Policy For Indian Car and Bike Manufacturers

We have been waiting to hear from Society Of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on the vehicle recall policy and finally it has spoken. SIAM has put forward a voluntary code on vehicle recall applicable for passenger vehicles including all types of cars, MPVs and SUVs, two-wheelers and commercial vehicles. SIAM Working On Voluntary Car Recall Policy For India

Car recalls  by respective manufacturers have become quite common now a days and this is concerning the automobile industry body SIAM. Manufacturers such as Tata, Honda, Maruti Suzuki, Toyota and BMW have earlier recalled their products to rectify defects but since these instances have happened at times and again, SIAM is working on a voluntary recall policy to resolve these issues. BMW India Recalls 3422 Cars Of 5 and 6 Series For Battery Cable Cover Replacement

As a part of its global preventive recall, BMW has recalled 3422 cars of BMW 5 Series and BMW 6 Series in India which were manufacturer between the year 2003 and the year 2010.
