We have been waiting to hear from Society Of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on the vehicle recall policy and finally it has spoken. SIAM has put forward a voluntary code on vehicle recall applicable for passenger vehicles including all types of cars, MPVs and SUVs, two-wheelers and commercial vehicles. Car recalls  by respective manufacturers have become quite common now a days and this is concerning the automobile industry body SIAM. Manufacturers such as Tata, Honda, Maruti Suzuki, Toyota and BMW have earlier recalled their products to rectify defects but since these instances have happened at times and again, SIAM is working on a voluntary recall policy to resolve these issues.
