Hyundai Eon Bookings Open– Launch Date In India Confirmed – 13 Oct 2011

Hyundai India has started the pre-launch Bookings of Hyundai Eon small car which will be launched on 13th October 2011 in India as per the official website of Hyundai Eon. Hyundai has announced that it will open the bookings officially starting October 1, 2011 with its dealerships. Interested buyers can also book a Hyundai Eon Via SMS by sending an sms “HYUNDAI EON” to 53456. Eon can be booked online also on its official website starting 1st Oct 2011. ‘EON’ – means eternity. The car will be manufactured in India at Hyundai Motor India’s manufacturing facility located at Sriperumbudur near Chennai. The car has been designed at Hyundai’s Namyang R&D centre located in the Gyeonggi Province in South Korea. HMIL’s advanced R&D facility in Hyderabad worked in coordination with Namyang R&D to develop the EON. There was a regular exchange of experts between the two centers. The Namyang R&D center is equipped with world class facilities in terms of design, power train, wind tunnel, crash and other driving test facilities. The official name of the Hyundai HA or Hyundai 800 in India will be Hyundai Eon. Hyundai is all set to launch its Hyundai HA aka Hyundai 800 in this Festival season in India round October 2011. The car is under testing and is expected to give a class leading mileage with a small and efficient 800 CC MPFI Petrol Engine. Hyundai has been readying its 800 CC small car Hyundai HA aka Hyundai 800 right from concept to a ready vehicle for past two years or so. With numerous R&D hours and brains behind the development of the Hyundai HA, the car is quite close to its official launch before Diwali.
