Mahindra & Mahindra is in news for yet another commercial vehicle based car launch, Mahindra Maxximo Minivan. The Maxximo has been a major product for the brand for the commercial vehicle segment and today it has launched the minivan variant of the same alike the previously launched Mahindra Gio Compact Cab. As I mentioned it to be a major player, this Light commercial vehicle has contributed sales of almost 40,000 units and is still proceeding at a good pace. The commercial vehicle industry is on a boom with almost every major manufacturer jumping into it with their ultra low cost yet reliable products targeted at masses. Mahindra & Mahindra is one of those manufacturer who not only offers quality products but is also responsible for a major share of this industry. A couple of months back Mahindra was in news for Mahindra Maxximo pick-up truck which proved to be a value for money but maybe the customers wanted a bit more cheaper product and now Mahindra Gio has come up as an option in Bihar. Auto Expo 2010 witnessed a lot of launches from Indian major car brands and one of the launch belongs to the Mahindra & Mahindra where they presented their small pick up truck the Maxximo. Recently Mahindra also launched a 0.5 Tonne mini truck named Mahindra Gio which is slightly smaller than the Maxximo but the fact remains that currently its the Tata Ace which is ruling the market and the Gio as compared the Ace has been found to be very ugly indeed. But does looks matter? Well when it comes to the truck segment it doesn’t but the price does, and so does the Fuel efficiency ,lower maintenance and the finance schemes.
