Volkswagen, one of the biggest automobile manufacturer, yesterday unveiled an all new platform named as MQB which will be adopted probably in all the models being sold globally. August is the month of launches with a number of important cars lined-up to be unveiled in front of the masses. Volkswagen has also confirmed the launch date of its all new 2011 Volkswagen Jetta which is 17th of August. But since the 2011 Jetta is supposed to replace the current model, the company is offering a price discount of Rs. 75,000 to clear the existing stock. The cash discount of upto 75 k is quite inviting but it would be difficult to clear a huge number of units from the stock as people who want to buy a Jetta will definitely be waiting for the newer model. The car is priced close to Rs. 14 Lakh and even if we deduct the discount money, the car still does not come any cheaper. Volkswagen Jetta 2011 new model will be launched in India on 17 August 2011 by Volkswagen India. The new Jetta was due for launch in the second half of 2011 and final date was not fixed earlier. VW India was waiting for the older versions of stocks to be cleared before they introduces the new Jetta with BlueMotion technology. There was a recent splurge of Spy Pictures of all new Volkswagen Jetta 2011 on the blogosphere which also confirms that the car is ready for launch. The launch date is now fixed and we will soon get our hands on the car. Volkswagen Jetta 2011 Road Tests On In India- Launch Expected Soon

Volkswagen India is testing their sedan Volkswagen Jetta 2011 on Indian roads before the official launch. The new Volkswagen Passat with BlueMotion technology has already been launched and Jetta is planned for second half of 2011, which means anytime July 2011 onwards. We expect to see a July or August 2011 launch as the road tests have already started. Official test mules have been spotted and shared by a Team-BHP member which shows the car is on road tests in hilly terrain with a temporary license plate of Maharashtra state. Jetta will be priced in a segment of luxury sedans in the budget of close to Rs. 14 Lakhs. The Jetta 2011 seems to be well built with a good exterior styling. The Jetta 2011 has already been launched in US and some other countries. The Indian variant of the Jetta will be customized as per Indian market needs and details will be announced officially around the launch of the car. Volkswagen is all set to bring the new model of the Volkswagen Jetta to India. As per the official information, the new Volkswagen Jetta 2011 will be launched in India in the second half of 2011, which means anywhere between July to December 2011. No official launch date has been announced as of now. Volkswagen has recently launched the Volkswagen Passat 2011 new model in India with BlueMotion technology and DSG gearbox(optional)- which is a dual clutch automatic transmission system. The new Passat is also expected to feature the BlueMotion technologies and an optional manual and automatic transmission system. The new Jetta will feature a powerful 140 HP, 2.0 Litre CRDI Diesel engine, larger wheelbase, larger interiors and refreshed exteriors. The power and pricing of the Jetta 2011 is expected to give a tough competition to Honda Civic, Chevrolet Cruze and other cars in its price bracket. European car manufacturer Volkswagen inspite of carrying all the potential to become a successful brand in India and successfully launching Volkswagen Vento, has been suffering a lot for its luxurious sedan segment comprising of Volkswagen Jetta and Volkswagen Passat. 1st April 2010, the day from which the implementation of Bharat Stage IV emission norms will come into effect in 13 major cities, is about to arrive and with the day coming closer, most of the brands are trying to launch their existing car models with newer BS IV compliant engines. Guiding its way through this situation is Volkswagen, who is ready with Passat and Jetta sporting new BS IV compliant engines and along with new engines minor cosmetic changes have also been taken into account.
