Yamaha is the only brand in India which has revolutionized the 150CC segment like no other with bikes like the Yamaha FZ-16 and Yamaha R15 and is trying really hard to make its mark in the 110CC segment. For the 150CC segment no doubt the bikes are too dominating however for the 110CC segment, bikes like Yamaha YBR failed to leave an impression. Yamaha had initially launched the Yamaha FZ-16 and R15 and later brought the Yamaha YBR which failed to recreate the magic which FZ and R15 did, for the brand in the 110CC segment but losing no hopes the brand soon recovered and has launched the Yamaha SS125 and announced the launch of Yamaha SZ due in August. The down the line offering from Yamaha comprise of: Yamaha SZ 150 Yamaha YBR 125 New Refreshed Yamaha Fazer Out of the three the SZ 150,sporting a 2-Valve 11BHP 1.04kgm torque unit, is the most significant as it will be only offering from Yamaha in the 150CC segment which will cost between Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000, unlike the FZ-16 which is priced at over Rs 70,000 and its speculated that the bike will have sort alloy wheels and will have a longer wheelbase. Yamaha is moving up the success ladder faster than ever with the two most fascinating bikes Yamaha FZ-16 and Yamaha R15 which have defeated the Bajaj Pulsar and the Hero Honda Karizma and the very recent Yamaha YBR which is going to compete in the 110CC segment conquered by the Bajajs.
