Tata Motors displayed their next innovation Tata Indica EV (Electric Vehicle) at Auto Expo 2010 in New Delhi, Indica EV is currently undergoing extensive trials in Europe, Tata Indica EV will be launched in selected European countries this 2010.
EV is rolled with perm magnet motor which (motor) is powered with 26.5 KWh polymer lithium batteries which has superior energy density to conventional batteries. Indica EV can accelerate with 0-60 Km/h with in under 10 sec, which is much better. Engine can produce max power of 55 Kw & max torque of 160 Nm.

- Can carry 4 individuals
- Adequate luggage space
- Co2 Emission 12g/km for electricity generated in France.

- Top speed: 128 km/h
- Acceleration: 0-30 km/h in 4.5 sec., 0-60 km/h in 9 sec.

- Seating capacity: 4
We can observe that the Indica EV is much more similar with Indica in looks but the heart of this car is entirely different.

how frequently should the batteries be recharged? any info?

I think whenever the battery level is going lower than 20% you should recharge the electric vehicle.
