Ford India on 16th February opened 28 new dealer facilities on the same day setting a new example for other brands about the concern that Ford carries when it comes to customer’s convenience. These stores will offer full line of vehicles belonging to all segments and with these stores meant for improving market and service facilities Ford’s dealership number reaches to 164 facilities located in 97 cities across India. Out of these 28 new outlets, 14 are meant for offering full 3S (Showroom, Sales and Service) facilities, while seven offer are servicing facilities, providing a full line of mechanical services and the remaining stores are sales showrooms, where visitors will be offered a full line-up of Ford vehicles in order to meet their needs.
The company’s intensified business development efforts are already on a high as the company is ready with the Figo and also intend to locate these facilities near City centers providing the customers with full support including Total Maintenance, Extended Warranty, Roadside Assistance and Scheduled Service Plans, through these outlets. Another facility provided by the company which is available at only 45 outlets is Quick service, a unique vehicle servicing process allowing routine servicing to be performed in under 90 minutes.
This opening of dealership is a reflection of the ambitions and expectations that Ford has associated with its new small car Ford Figo

New Delhi, Sangrur, Haldwani and Gwalior in the North
Durgapur, Dhanbad and Guwahati in the East
Hyderabad, Chennai, Warangal, Vellore, Salem, Vijayawada and Malappuram in the South
Bilaspur and Mehsana in the Western region.
Another expansion part is a new showroom located in the East Delhi Metro Rail Station which is the first Ford showroom located in a Metro Rail Station in the Asia Pacific region. Workshops and new showrooms are now also located in Jaipur, Thane, Ahmednagar, Pune, Vapi, Ahmedabad and Cochin.
Customer encouragement has also been taken as a part of the program pointing at familiarizing customers with the vehicles, receiving demonstrations from sales consultants and taking test drives of Ford vehicles, which eventually makes the customer more firm on the decision at the time of buying a product from Ford.The dealer staff members are also being trained in accordance with Ford’s global guidelines aiming at providing higher standards of professional service to customers and following this Ford has also tripled its dealer sales consultant staff from 480 in 2009 to 1500 in 2010.
