Things might have become a bit complex for Hero Group after discontinuing their association with Honda but with no surprise the former has a number of future plans to rise on its own. Reportedly the brand is going to invest for a stand of its own which would include a new brand identity, a new name and most importantly a new logo which every new product from the same would sport.
For this very plan the group is said to have kept aside Rs.100 Crore and this allocated capital is besides what they are paying to five agencies: JWT, Draftfcb Ulka, Mudra, Law & Kenneth, and Percept Hย for the same purpose of creating an identity.
The above five agencies are concerned with the identity department while for the new name and logo, London-based design agency Wolff Olins has been approached and together all these companies are working to finish up this very important task within the next few months.
A while back it was also rumored that the company will soon remove the Honda branding from its flagship models, Hero Honda Splendor and Hero Honda Passion which projects plans of Hero Group to emerge as a global player. Till 2014 Hero will be technically assisted by Honda for engines and other components, but beyond the very year the brand will have to work out things on its own.
