New Ambassador Will Be Shorter To Avail Excise Benefits

The present version of Hindustan Motors Ambassador is 4.3 meters long with a spacious interior and boots pace. This length of over 4 meters makes it to fall in large cars category which attracts a higher excise duty compared to the cars which are shorter than 4 meters in length. Hindustan Motors is already working on a new variant of Ambassador with New Engine. Not only the engine will be new, but the spy pictures of the car undergoing testing also suggests that the car will be less than 4 meters in length to avail the excise duty benefits to keep the overall cost of the car low to make it a more attractive deal.

As of now, the expected date for the launch of the new variant it end of 2011. We hope to see the new and attractive variant coming out soon with a better performing engine.

  2. Good to hear about the Launching of New Ambassador but how long can anyone wait for this car?
I have been using Ambassador since I was a child of 6 years. Even Now I am using an Ambassador 2003 with powered steering and A.C. But it is really tough to maintain an ambassador with bad body and cheap interiors and poor engine performance when compared to other latest cars in the market.
The company has not even released a picture to rise hope in customers. How long can any one have blind faith in HM.
By the time it comes probably it will be too late.
