Suzuki Motor Corporation sells its car Alto in Europe. The European Alto is equivalent of the Indian Maruti Suzuki A-Star which is manufactured in India and exported world over. Few months back there was a recall of Maruti A-Star by Maruti and Nissan which sells the same car as Nissan Pixo.

A-star-Hires

Suzuki has recalled 10 thousand Alto (Indian Maruti A-Star) in Europe because of problem which causes the tail lamps to become un-functional. Maruti has exported over 1 lakh A-Star cars in last financial year. Few months back another problem was reported with some of the A-star cars related to the Fuel Leakage for which about 1 Lakh cars were recalled.

It is comparatively safe for car companies to recall and fix the problems before these problems cause a threat to the safety of the passengers.
