Maruti Head Clearly Unimpressed with EVs

With fuel prices going up, many Indian users are looking for petrol alternatives

So far, CNG seems to be the best solution as EVs are yet to become mainstream in spite of all the buzz around them

RC Bhargava, Chairman, MSIL, stated that the Indian macroeconomic landscape is different from the US and Europe. The lower per capita income makes EVs unviable. Plus, EVs won’t improve environment as India uses coal-fired thermal stations to produce 75% of the energy.
