2022 Mahindra Scorpio is all set to be launched soon. Now, the new look of the SUV has been revealed in a TVC shoot.
The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio has been under development for a pretty long while now. So far, we’ve seen innumerable spy shots and videos of the next-gen model and it looks like the new SUV has been undergoing road tests for ages now. The all-new Scorpio, however, could be now actually close to launch as it has been spotted during a TVC shoot. The leaked photo has even revealed features like new dual projector LED headlamps, integrated DLRs, an air dam with a honeycomb mesh pattern, and more.

What to Expect?
As per recent leaks, the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will sport a pair of stylish dual-tone alloy wheels. The front grille will feature new dual projector LED headlamps on both sides (with integrated DLRs and turn indicators). Additionally, the updated bumper sports new LED fog lamps with C-shaped enclosures. There is also an air dam with a honeycomb mesh pattern. On the side, body-colored ORVMs and door handles can be spotted. The next-gen model will feature massive wheel arches with chunky wheels, silver-colored multi-spoke alloys. Other highlights include a side step, roof rails, and a thin plastic cladding on door sills.
The Mahindra Scorpio is known for its ruggedness, space, and presence. The new model will be significantly more modern. It is said to come with an all-black cabin with dual-tone leather upholstery and a revised dashboard layout. The car is expected to be powered by a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine that offers 130hp/ a 2.0-liter mStallion petrol engine that offers 140hp. For the transmission option, the SUV will include a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed automatic unit. The details specifications will be revealed only closer to the launch.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio Prices
Mahindra is likely to offer the new Scorpio 2022 as ScorpioN or Scorpio Sting. The prices are likely to be higher than the current Scorpio. The next-gen Scorpio is likely to come with features like a vertically mounted touchscreen, better ergonomics, all-wheel drive, strong character lines, a muscular stance, and a seven-seat configuration. It is also expected to share its powertrain options with the Thar. While the boxy and upright silhouette may be familiar, the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio is essentially a new vehicle.
Currently, the Mahindra SUV is priced from Rs 13.18 lakh to Rs 18.14 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It comes in five trims: S3+, S5, S7, S9, and S11. The nine-seater car is powered by a 2.2-liter diesel engine that offers 120PS/ 280Nm or 140PS/ 319Nm. While the base variant gets a 5-speed MT, other variants are paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The popular car comes with features like cruise control, auto AC, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and AUX connectivity, and auto headlights with LED DRLs. Safety features include dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS, and speed alert.
