The Zeta variant of the 2022 Maruti Baleno is expected to be the most VFM trim of the lot.

The highly updated Maruti Baleno will launch tomorrow and will try to capture the imagination of buyers with its refreshed styling, more features, and higher safety

2022 Maruti Baleno is less than a day away from its launch and so far, the various sightings and teasers have already revealed much of what there’s to know about the new model. Today, though, we have a video, which seems to have been taken rather secretly at a dealership yard, showing us what the Zeta variant of the new car would look like.

The video we have here shows a white-coloured vehicle parked in a dealership stockyard. It must be noted that this second-highest variant of Nexa cars has been quite popular owing to offering a great value proposition. Even when it comes to the refreshed Baleno, the Zeta trim offers many features and is expected to still cost lesser than the Alpha trim. The major highlights of the equipment list of this vehicle include –

  • LED projector headlamps with Auto and follow-m-home functions
  • Silver Alloy Wheels
  • Full chrome package
  • Start/Stop button
  • Front centre armrest with sliding feature
  • 60-40 rear split seat
  • Coloured TFT display
  • 7-inch Spartplay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment unit with voice assistant, OTA updates, 2 Tweeters with 4 speakers and Rear View Camera
  • Suzuki Connect
  • Alexa Connect
  • Rear AC vents
  • Rear fast charging USB sold
  • Driver seat height adjustment
  • Telescopic adjustment for power steering
  • Rear wiper and washer
  • 6 airbag

Specifications & Mileage

2022 Maruti Baleno is powered by the same 1.2-litre Dualjet Dual-VVT four-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine that powers the existing car. It produces 90PS and 113Nm but the performance will be slightly lower owing to the new car weighing 70 kgs more. Even the fuel efficiency of the manual variant has dropped from 23.87 kmpl earlier to 22.35 kmpl. But the CVT version of the existing model will be replaced with an AMT model and this has pushed the mileage up from 19.56 kmpl earlier to 22.94 kmpl now. Other than helping the car with a higher mileage, the AMT should even ensure attractive pricing. The AMT (AGS in Maruti speak) option will be available on Delta, Zeta and Alpha variants.
