2022 suzuki s-cross review uk media

2022 Suzuki S-Cross is on sale in the UK in a Mild Hybrid format, with prices starting from around 25,000 GBP. Here’s a detailed review

The second-gen 2022 Suzuki S-Cross made its global debut in November last year and itโ€™s already on sale in the UK market. The new crossover is even expected to enter our market towards the end of the year but before we get to drive the India-spec S-Cross from Maruti Suzuki, we thought of watching some reviews from the UK media. The video we have below particularly stands out as the vlogger has reviewed the base model with the configuration thatโ€™s likely to make it to India. Have a look to know everything sheโ€™s said about the Nissan Qashqai rival in the UK –

Right in the starting phase of the video, the reviewer says she likes how the Suzuki S-Cross has become much more stylish and much more aggressive. She even adds that the overall styling has got more SUVish than before. She even adds that the arch rival Nissan Qashaqi doesn’t get alloy wheels on the similarly priced base variant but the S-Cross comes with 17-inch units that add to the flair of the crossover. After highlighting some more styling elements, she then shows the generous boot space the car has on offer along with providing a low loading lip. On the rear seat, she says there’s enough space unless one is above 6-feet tall but the lack of USB ports is definitely bothersome. She also says that interior quality has never been a strong point of Suzuki cars and the latest S-Cross doesn’t deviate from the trend. However, the leather-insert on the dashboard and centre armrest elevate things a bit.

Next, she adds that the seats are comfortable but the upholstery is pretty cheap, which shouldn’t be the case with the top-spec variant with leather upholstery. In the UK, the 2022 Suzuki S-Cross is on sale in a 48V mild-hybrid variant. Unlike the strong-hybrid cars that can run for a few miles on battery power alone, in this mild hybrid configuration, a 48V setup aids the engine to enhance acceleration and fuel efficiency. The top-spec version gets AllGrip 4WD but the base model comes in a FWD configuration only. The reviewer notes that the S-Cross isn’t too powerful but there’s enough pep on offer along with a reasonably strong acceleration. She also says that the body-roll is well-contained and the gearbox has well-defined rations. Finally, she adds that the steering feels sharp and there’s only limited body-roll

Summarizing her review, the vlogger says the 2022 Suzuki S-Cross is practical and comfortable along with being reasonably powerful. She also adds that the car is not just affordable but even quite good value due to the amount of features on offer even in the base variant. Overall, the latest-gen S-Cross surely seems impressive and we just can’t wait to get our hands on it!
