It seems like the once-popular Hero Karizma is about to make a comeback after almost a decade in the Indian market to rival the mighty Bajaj Pulsar.

The 2023 Hero Karizma is about to make a comeback in our market to challenge the dominance of the Bajaj Pulsar RS200. Hero Honda started selling the Karizma back in 2003. It became an instant success due to its bold and striking looks in addition to its potent engine inspired by sports bikes. It received a mid-life update in 2007. However, the Hero Honda broke up and Hero MotoCorp was established which gave a generational update to the Karizma in 2014. But it never achieved the level of success that the first-gen model was able to garner. That might be about to change with this latest model.

This digital rendition has been developed by abin_designs_511 and bikerr_of_india on Instagram. It captures a design theme that looks like a mix of elements from the likes of the Hero Xtreme 200S, the original Karizma and the Karizma ZMR facelift. The sharp nose with a slim headlamp cluster is reminiscent of the original Karizma. Then there is a compact wind visor neatly integrated atop the headlamp and LED DRLs underneath the angular headlights. There is an eminent fairing on the side.

The fairing is done in black and red graphics that reads ZMR in an adventurous font. The side profile is quite muscular with a sculpted black fuel tank and body panels to protect the engine components. There is a prominent underbelly panel to safeguard the bike from pebbles as well. The compact but sporty exhaust pipe accentuates the thrilling side of the motorcycle and the split-seat setup at the rear confirms its performance credentials. Finally, the alloy wheels at the front and rear complete the overall silhouette making the overall product quite appealing indeed.

Features and Specs

This being a new-gen product, there will be modern features including a dual-channel ABS as standard, LED lighting, traction control, Bluetooth connectivity, a digital instrument cluster for all the information for the driver, riding modes and more. While there is no official word on the specifications, we expect a 210-cc engine to power this motorcycle. The prices could range between Rs 1.30 lakh and Rs 1.60 lakh making it a direct rival to the likes of KTM RC200, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and more.
