The video comes from Gaadiwaadi.com on YouTube. For this mileage test, the host decides to opt for the tank-to-tank method. He is using the top automatic trim for this trial. At the beginning of the video, he takes the SUV to the petrol pump to get it fuelled up. Then, he sets the trip meter to zero. Thereafter, he commences his long journey. This mostly involved highway cruising. In total, he was able to travel 828 km in about 11-12 hours. He comes back to refuel at the same petrol pump. The SUV was able to gulp down 50.33 litres of fuel for this trip. This comes out to be 16.43 km/l. Interestingly, the official ARAI mileage figure of the original Harrier launched in 2019 was 16.7 km/l.

During his highway journey, he was able to make use of the ADAS features on offer in the Harrier. For instance, active safety and driver assistance features like adaptive cruise control were critical to ensure comfort for the driver. The SUV was able to sense the vehicle in the front and would automatically decelerate. Also, the host mentions another key advantage of the ADAS function. In heavy fog, the driver is not able to see anything. In such situations, the radar of the SUV can sense a car at some distance in the front and display it on the screen for the driver. This enhances the active safety prowess of the vehicle a lot.
