It has, sort of, become a trend that the upcoming cars are often leaked before the official launch.

The 2023 Tata Safari facelift has been leaked before the launch. In fact, the official bookings will commence from October 6, 2023. Safari has enjoyed popularity in our market since its debut. Nevertheless, as competition in this segment has grown, it has faced a decline in market share. Furthermore, the current model has not received substantial updates in quite some time. Consequently, the forthcoming model holds significant importance for the Indian automotive giant. Tata has officially launched a teaser of the SUV as well. Here are the details.

This video comes from Harsh VLOGS on YouTube. It captures a slightly edited version of the official teaser launched by Tata Motors. A clear appearance of the SUV is out. Only the front profile is visible in the teaser. It incorporates a premium grille with tiny inserts to lend a modern feel, there is an LED strip which runs the width of the bonnet culminating seamlessly into LED DRLs which double up as LED turn indicators, a front camera for 360-degree surround view, a main headlamp cluster on the extreme edges of the bumper which is a trend in modern cars, rugged bumper, etc. Combining this with other spy videos, it will even feature the connected LED taillamp setup at the back. All in all, the new Safari will be quite a stunner.

This video even showcases the interior layout of the new Safari. The YouTuber has done some editing to bring a clear image to us. The steering wheel comes with the digital illumination we recently saw in the Nexon, there is a digital instrument cluster, a free-floating infotainment display, elegant AC vents, use of yellow colour for upholstery, etc. Apart from that, the overall cabin will bear slight updates and changes in comparison to the existing model. In essence, the Indian auto giant aims to capture the market share from its rivals.

The current-generation model is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine that produces 170 PS and 350 Nm of peak power and torque. You have the option to choose between a manual or automatic transmission. It will be carried on with the facelift version too. However, there are reports suggesting that the upcoming facelifted model may sport a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine capable of generating 170 PS and 280 Nm of peak power and torque. Additionally, it might incorporate Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) safety technology, a feature commonly found in other SUVs within this segment.
