skoda kushaq epc issue

In more worrying news for Skoda, many people are reporting an EPC error with their brand new Kushaq SUVs. This is not a one-off instance where Kushaq experiences some trouble with the engine/electronics. Skoda recently launched its mid-size SUV, the Kushaq in the Indian market pinning all its hopes on this one product. The Skoda Kusha1 was supposed to revive Skoda’s depleting market share in India and make way for newer products based on the MQB A0 IN platform. However, the premium price tag, lack of features compared to the competition and instances of service and engine issues might spell doom for the Czech carmaker’s newest product. Here are the details of this EPC error as reported by Kushaq owners on a Facebook group.

Skoda Kushaq EPC Error

According to some Kushaq users, the SUV stops in the middle of the road while driving after the instrument cluster shows the EPC error. Now, EPC refers to the Electronic Power Unit of the car which controls all the functions which require electric assist. What is more shocking is that people have not even driven the Kushaq a lot. This problem has started occurring within the first few thousand kilometres of driving. This is extremely suspicious especially for a brand that prides itself on quality. For the Kushaq owner, the car had to be towed away to the service centre. But the RSA (Road Side Assistance) was also not instantly available and the owner had to wait for hours for his car to be taken away. All these instances are persuading the people who have booked the Kushaq to think again. It is clear from the posts on the group that people are starting to get apprehensive about going for Skoda Kushaq.
