Skoda Auto India has come up with a limited-run variant of the Kushaq, dubbed the Matte Edition. This limited edition aims to provide discerning customers with a heightened visual appeal through its unique paint scheme. The Kushaq, which debuted in July 2021, has played a pivotal role in making India Skoda Auto’s largest non-European market, and the third-largest globally.

Carbon Steel Paint in Matte Finish
Skoda Kushaq Matte Edition showcases the highly sought-after Carbon Steel paint in an exquisite matte finish. It is accompanied by Glossy Black accents on the ORVMs, door handles, and rear spoiler. To create an attractive contrast, the front grille, boot-lid garnish, and window-line garnish retain a chrome finish. Additionally, for models equipped with the 1.5 TSI engine, the special edition boasts a distinct 1.5 TSI badge at the rear. Inside, the users enjoy a Skoda Sound System that has 6 speakers and a subwoofer. It works in tandem with a 25.4 cm infotainment system that supports Wireless Smartlink smartphone integration feature.
Skoda Kushaq is the first car manufactured in India to undergo rigorous crash testing according to the enhanced protocols established by the Global New Car Assessment Programme (GNCAP). The SUV garnered a remarkable 5-star rating for both adult and child safety, earning widespread acclaim. It enjoyed the status of being the safest Indian car with a safety rating of 29.64 until it was narrowly surpassed by the Skoda Slavia with 29.71 points.

Skoda Kushaq Matte Edition Specs and Prices

Now, let’s delve into the pricing and variants of the Skoda Kushaq Matte Edition. This exclusive model is available with two engine options: the 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI. The former is paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The bigger engine comes with a 6-speed manual unit along with an optional 7-speed DSG. To maintain its exclusivity, the Matte Edition will be produced in a limited quantity of only 500 units. It’s positioning between the top-spec Style variant and the Monte Carlo variant.
