Bajaj Pulsar 220 Modified Into Suzuki Hayabusa
The motorcycle’s rear design closely resembles the stock Hayabusa model, featuring a similar taillight and dual exhaust system. Modifiers have also incorporated a rear cowl reminiscent of the stock Hayabusa, although the one on the customized bike is removable, revealing a pillion seat beneath it. It’s important to note that the modifications are purely cosmetic, with no alterations made to the bike’s engine. The Pulsar 220F retains its original 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine, delivering a maximum power output of 20.1 HP and a peak torque of 18.55 Nm. This engine remains paired with a 5-speed transmission.
In contrast, the original Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R boasts a robust 1340cc, fuel-injected, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that generates a whopping 200 HP of maximum power at 9500 rpm and a peak torque of 155 Nm at 7200 rpm. This powerhouse engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The modifier estimates the modification cost to be approximately INR 1.70 lakhs, excluding the donor motorcycle’s price.

P220 A Clean Canvas for Modifications
Bajaj Pulsar 220, with its 220cc single-cylinder engine, has been a long-standing favorite among motorcycle enthusiasts. The 220 provides an excellent platform for those looking to enter the world of motorcycle modification. There are several reasons why the Pulsar 220 is a decent option for transforming into a big bike like a Hayabusa. Firstly, the Pulsar 220 has a grunty engine. It can handle modifications. Secondly, the Pulsar 220 has reasonably big dimensions. This means one can replicate a proper big bike look without making changes to the swingarm or even the frame. Lastly, the Pulsar 220 already has a comfortable and sporty riding posture, making it a suitable candidate for a Hayabusa conversion.
