Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Instrument Cluster

In this latest post, a popular YouTuber conducts the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z top speed test. Note that the NS400Z is the latest addition to Bajaj’s Pulsar range of bikes in India. Until now, Bajaj offered a Pulsar in every major segment from 125-cc to 250-cc. The only category which was eluding it was the 400-cc space. That segment has the Bajaj Dominar 400. However, it only managed to enjoy relatively decent success. The Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer wants to ensure that the Pulsar moniker marks its presence in this domain too. Hence, it launched the Pulsar NS400Z recently with a mighty attractive price point of just Rs 1.85 lakh, ex-showroom.

This test comes to us courtesy of Sanjay zoe on YouTube. He took the test drive of the motorcycle. During his test run, he found an empty stretch of road to test the performance of the bike. The visuals showcase a top speed of a whopping 165 km/h. I am of the opinion that this is already too high and well above the speed limits of any highway in the country. In fact, you must refrain from attempting something like this yourself. The fact that the YouTuber has done this test for you should suffice to know how quick your Pulsar NS400Z will go.

Specs

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z comes with a familiar 373-cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC engine which generates a healthy 40 PS @8,000 RPM and 35 Nm @6,500 RPM of peak power and torque. This engine pairs with a 6-speed manual transmission with assist and slipper clutch. At the front, the bike gets 43 mm Champagne Gold USD forks, while at the rear, there is a monoshock absorber with Nitrox 6-step adjustability. The front disc brake measures 320 mm and the rear one is 230 mm. The 17-inch alloys adore front and rear tyres which are 110/70-section and 140/70-section, respectively.

Our View

Even though the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is a performance-focused bike, I don’t recommend our readers to cross the speed limit ever. We lose lakhs of lives on roads each year. Most of these incidents take place due to people not following the traffic regulations. Let us pledge to be responsible road users and ensure that we follow the rules to the T. On top of that, I also would like to urge our readers to encourage everyone around you to adhere to the traffic protocols. That is the only way to ensure road safety. Watching these YouTubers online is fine but please don’t try to imitate them.
