In this post, we are talking about the top 5 Indian celebrities who sold their expensive cars. We know that the top stars in our country typically belong to Bollywood, Cricket or Business fields. They keep updating their car garages quite frequently. As a consequence, we see numerous top-end opulent vehicles in the car collections. However, not a lot of information is out there about the cars they sell. It is natural for them to sell the old vehicles to make room for new ones. Riteish Deshmukh

Let us commence this list with Riteish Deshmukh. He is among the most popular actors in the country. He often likes to splurge on new-age ostentatious automobiles. However, back in 2012, he purchased an exotic Bentley Continental Flying Spur. It still remains one of the most luxurious vehicles on the planet in its latest avatar. Riteish used it for quite some time before selling it off. It used to come powered by a colossal 6.0-litre 12-cylinder twin-turbocharged petrol engine which generated a mad 616 hp and 800 Nm of maximum power and torque, respectively. The 8-speed automatic transmission powered all four wheels for an exhilarating performance. It had a price tag of a jaw-dropping Rs 4 Crore at the time.

Ranbir Kapoor

Then we have Ranbir Kapoor on this list of top 5 Indian celebrities who sold their most expensive cars. Ranbir is an A-lister and has been in the industry for a long time now. He has a massive fan following and has given us numerous blockbuster movies. His car collection is enough to make anyone envious. While there have been dozens of cars in his garage over the years, the one prominent car that he sold off was the Mercedes AMG G63. He had got his hands on this luxury off-roader back in 2013. As is the case with most celeb cars, he had a VIP number plate on it. At the time, this rugged monster used to cost a whopping Rs 2.20 Crore. Clearly, it was the most expensive car in his garage back then.

Sachin Tendulkar

From Bollywood, let us shift our focus to arguably the greatest batsman of all time, Sachin Tendulkar. Often regarded as the God of Cricket, he has achieved incredible milestones during his career. In fact, many consider his stats to remain unbeaten for ages to come. However, when he broke the record of Sir Don Bradman of scoring 29 Test centuries in 2002, to felicitate the Little Master, Fiat gifted him a Ferrari 360 Modena which used to cost around Rs 2 Crore at that time. Obviously, that was among the most expensive cars in the country back then. Also, it was handed over to him by the F1 legend, Michael Schumacher. However, he didn’t use it for long as it was difficult to drive it on our streets due to its low ground clearance. Hence, he ended up selling it.

Amitabh Bachchan

Then we have the iconic Indian actor, Amitabh Bachchan on this list of the top 5 Indian celebrities who sold their most expensive cars. Big B, as he is commonly called, needs no introduction. With a career spanning over an unbelievable 5 decades, it is fascinating to see him work ever so tirelessly even today. In fact, many people are in awe of how inspiring it is to see him work at the age of 83 years. That is a testament to his love and passion for acting and his dedication to his profession. He has owned countless vehicles in his life. However, in 2024, director, producer, screenwriter and editor, Vidhu Vinod Chopra gifted him a swanky Rolls Royce Phantom. Again, he didn’t use it all that often and ended up selling it to a businessman in Surat. Interestingly, he bought a slew of luxury cars thereafter.

Ajay Devgn

Finally, this list also contains Ajay Devgn. He is one of the finest actors in the country. He has given us innumerable hit movies that have entertained us immensely. His car collection is quite extensive as well. However, in 2019, he decided to acquire an ultra-luxurious Rolls Royce Cullinan. In fact, he was spotted using it on many occasions in public too. For some reason, he sold it. It had a massive 6.75-litre V12 twin-turbo petrol mill which belts out a mammoth 563 hp and 850 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. This mill paired with an automatic transmission which enables a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 6.7 seconds. It had an ex-showroom price of around Rs 8 Crore. These are all the stars on this unique list.
