Some Thar Roxx owners decided to demonstrate their patriotism in a rather graphic manner
Recently, I came across a Mahindra Thar Roxx, which had ‘Operation Sindoor’ graphics pasted on the body. We all know the recent developments between India and Pakistan. The two countries were almost on the brink of war. However, a ceasefire brought an end to the aggression from both sides. In the wake of that, India celebrated the resounding success of the ‘Operation Sindoor’, where it destroyed 9 militant settlements within Pakistan and in POK. For now, let us take a look at the details here.
Mahindra Thar Roxx with ‘Operation Sindoor’ Graphics
The visuals capture the details of this uniquely wrapped Mahindra Thar Roxx. We see the entire side section of the SUV is covered in what looks like body graphics of the Indian Army personnel. The front and rear windows and door panels are wrapped in these graphics. Apart from that, the rear-most glass area has the photo of Indian soldiers with guns and the Indian national flag in the background. That is already extensive graphic details. Finally, the rear windshield of the Thar Roxx contains the words ‘Operation Sindoor’. Clearly, the owner wanted to drive the point home.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx comes with three powertrain options – a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol mill or a 2.2-litre mHawk turbo diesel mill generating 162 PS (MT) / 330 Nm to 177 PS (AT) / 380 Nm and 163 PS (MT) / 330 Nm and 175 PS / 370 Nm of peak power and torque with a 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, respectively. On top of that, the 4×4 configuration is available with the higher diesel trims with sophisticated off-roading capabilities. It retails between Rs 12.99 lakh and Rs 23.39 lakh, ex-showroom.

My View
I must admit I have reported many cases of car owners going for exotic body wraps for their cars. Here, I must mention that most car modifications are illegal in India. If the traffic cops catch you, they can impose fines and ask you to remove the wraps. Therefore, one must be careful regarding such things from the beginning. Anyway, I shall keep an eye out for more such cases in the times to come.
