The French auto giant is in the process of expanding its footprint in India in the coming months

The globally popular Renault Megane E-Tech has debuted in India in RHD guise. The EV was displayed at the Snapdragon Auto Day 2025 event held in New Delhi. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis was the focal point of this event. This marks Qualcomm Technologies’ growing collaboration with the Indian OEMs. The key highlights include safety, cloud-based services, ADAS, digital cockpits, etc. Let us delve into the details of this case.

Renault Megane E-Tech Makes Local Debut in RHD Format

During this event, the Renault Megane E-Tech was showcased. Note that it has already done quite well on the sales charts in many international markets in recent times. The EV bears the latest Renault design philosophy with massive LED DRLs on the extreme edges of the bumper, while the LED headlamps are quite sleek. They are joined together by a chrome strip with the new Renault logo in the centre. The side section of the EV boasts a sloping roofline finished in black paint and chrome frames, flush-fitting door handles and elegant alloy wheels. Completing the exterior styling is the connected LED taillamp, a shark fin antenna and a sporty bumper.

However, things get tech-savvy once we move inside and experience the digital architecture. We know it plays a crucial role in today’s cars. The Renault Megane E-Tech utilizes the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform from Qualcomm to power its advanced infotainment system. This includes a large, portrait-oriented touchscreen display and integration with Google services like Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play. The Snapdragon Digital Chassis, which includes the Cockpit Platforms, enables a connected and intelligent in-vehicle experience for drivers and passengers. Hence, every facet of the user interface will be influenced by this cutting-edge tech from Qualcomm.
