The two-seater electric sports car has been the talk of the town lately, with compelling performance and prices
In this post, we take a look at the 0-100-200 km/h acceleration test of the MG Cyberster. The prices of the electric sports car have recently been announced in India. The EV is offered in a single fully-loaded trim with a price tag of Rs 74.99 lakh, ex-showroom. MG is slowly expanding its luxury division in our market with cars like the Cyberster and M9. These will exclusively be sold under its MG SELECT dealership network. For now, let us take a look at the details of the sports car.
MG Cyberster 0-100-200 km/h Acceleration Test
I recently got the opportunity to test drive the EV as part of the media drive in a controlled environment. Note that it wasn’t a full-fledged drive review, but a quick test run on the track. As I put my foot on the accelerator, the curvaceous EV was launched with gusto. As a result, I was able to achieve a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.21 seconds. However, that is not all. The even more impressive aspect is that the EV hits 200 km/h from a standstill in just 13.21 seconds. Also, the top speed was 209 km/h, which came up in 15.26 seconds. These are clearly supercar territory numbers.
The MG Cyberster is available with the Industry’s Slimmest Battery Pack with a capacity of 77 kWh and a thickness of 110 mm. The MIDC-certified range is 580 km on a single charge. The EV is propelled by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration, which generates a healthy 510 PS and 725 Nm of maximum power and torque, respectively. Thanks to the aerodynamic body, the drag coefficient is 0.269. Also, to stop the speeding EV from a speed of 100 km/h, the Brembo 4-piston front brake callipers take just 33 m.

My View
The MG Cyberster offers a unique product for driving enthusiasts, as well as celebrities who love to make public appearances in flashy automobiles. There’s no way this EV won’t make heads turn when it is out on the road. With its relatively affordable price point, in comparison to the likes of the BMW and Mercedes, it makes for an immensely compelling proposition. Now, all that remains to be seen is just how many buyers the electric sports car will be able to entice.
