The rugged pickup truck iteration of the famed Scorpio N is about to launch in our market
Updated 23.10.2025 – The upcoming pickup truck from the Indian automobile giant was spied performing road test yet again. The video stems from prajwalitmandavi on Instagram. This time around, we see it parked on the side of the road. The entire body is understandably wrapped in a thick camouflage. At the front, the pop-out taillamps have become a familiar sight. I still believe this is a temporary arrangement and the production model won’t possess this layout. Apart from that, the cargo compartment has been filled with containers. This could be done in order to test the driving dynamics of the pickup truck with heavy load. Also, we briefly get a glimpse of the inside. Again, the dashboard and centre console area have been covered to protect against the curious onlookers.
Updated on 21.10.2025 – The latest spy shots contain the rugged pickup truck on the back of a trolley. It is secured tightly with harnesses, most likely to be transported to a far off-location. We know that it will bear an almost identical silhouette as the regular Scorpio N from the front and the sides. However, the tail end will carry a large cargo compartment. In the new spy images, we even get a glimpse of the cabin. There are modern elements like a sporty steering wheel with multimedia controls, piano black finish on the centre console between the front seats, and similar bits like the regular Scorpio N. It is clear that the pickup truck will give a tough fight to the Isuzu V-Cross and Toyota Hilux in our market.
In this post, we take a look at the details of the new Mahindra Scorpio N pickup truck being spied on test. We know that it has been under test for some time now. The Scorpio N has gained massive success in our market over the last few years. Seeing its demand, the Indian carmaker chose to make a tougher pickup model. Now, India is not a very big pickup truck market. Yet, the Indian brand plans to change this. For now, let us see the features we may get in the new lifestyle pickup truck.
Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup Truck Spied
This video arrives from motorbeam on Instagram. The spy shots show a thickly covered pickup truck moving on the road. We can see the front, side, and rear angles in heavy traffic. It was actually captured by a driver in the next lane. At the front, the vehicle has pop-out headlamps, which look like a test setup. The grille design also shows some similarity with the Scorpio N. On the side, the pickup gets steel wheels and bold wheel arches. The use of steel wheels also hints that this might be a lower trim option.
Towards the end of the video, the rear section of the truck is clear. It comes with a big loading bed and simple taillamps. Looking closely, side steps can also be spotted, added to ease entry and exit for passengers. Another highlight is the rugged touch on the rear bumper, giving it a stronger road stance. Overall, the look and presence seem built to challenge the Toyota Hilux, a pickup that, despite its fame, has not been doing well in sales.
Expected Specs
Even though Mahindra has not confirmed pickup details yet, it will likely borrow engines and gearboxes from the Scorpio N. This means a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder mStallion turbo petrol making 200 PS and 380 Nm, along with a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder mHawk turbo diesel. The diesel will come in two versions – one producing 132 PS and 300 Nm, and the other generating 175 PS and 400 Nm. Both engines will be paired with manual or automatic gearbox options. The top trims are also expected to get a proper 4×4 system. Full details will only be revealed at the official launch.
