In this post, I am discussing the 0-100 km/h acceleration test of the new Hyundai Venue. Venue has been a mighty popular product in our market since 2019. Over the years, it has attracted countless buyers due to its styling and amenities. The Korean auto giant has updated it thoroughly to ensure that it fends off the competition with confidence. As a part of the recent media drive of the new Venue, we decided to put the compact SUV through its paces and experience its most aggressive performance. Hence, we drove the turbo petrol version with DCT gearbox in Sport mode. After finding an empty stretch of road, we accelerated hard. It took us just 5.12 seconds to reach the speed of 60 km/h from a standstill. Going further, we clocked an 80 km/h mark in just 8.03 seconds, while the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h came up in a rather impressive 11.22 seconds. That is a respectable number and indicates that the owners will have a lot of fun.

The new Hyundai Venue continues with the same set of engines and gearboxes as the previous model. It comes with a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo GDi petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, producing 83 PS / 114.7 Nm, 120 PS / 172 Nm, and 116 PS / 250 Nm, respectively. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual for the 1.2 petrol, a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT for the turbo petrol, and a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic for the diesel. This mix of engines and transmissions ensures there’s a version suited to different types of buyers. The N-Line variant also uses the same turbo petrol engine and gearbox options. The prices range from Rs 7.90 lakh to Rs 15.51 lakh, ex-showroom.
