Hooligans in Cars Create Ruckus in Delhi

Indian roads can be extremely perilous, thanks to some idiots who like to flout traffic regulations

In a rather disturbing turn of events, a group of hooligans were recorded creating chaos amidst heavy traffic in New Delhi. I have been reporting about some incredibly stupid activities from traffic rule violators for a long time now. India is, unfortunately, home to some of the most dangerous roads in the world. As a consequence, we come across thousands of road accidents each year where lakhs of lives are lost. The main reason for this trend is people refusing to abide by traffic laws. For now, let us take a look at the details of this latest event.

Hooligans in Cars Create Ruckus

This post stems from delhi.police_official on Instagram. As per the information in the post, this incident occurred near the I.P. Estate in New Delhi. The visuals capture a few men performing stunts with their cars on a busy road. We see these miscreants hanging out of the windows and sunroofs of their cars. According to the video, three cars seem to be involved – a Hyundai i20 and 2 Honda City sedans. These idiots are seen driving recklessly and manoeuvring cars aggressively despite being too close to the other cars.

The traffic Police took notice of this nuisance and tracked down these morons. They arrested 5 people and seized their cars too. The second phase of the video clip showcases the arrested persons with the Police with their cars in the background. I can only hope that appropriate action is taken against them for jeopardizing the safety and well-being of other road users. Such mindless acts can prove to be fatal for pedestrians and other car owners, in addition to the very people performing them.

My View

In the last few years, I have written about countless concerning occurrences on Indian roads. It is heartbreaking to see people becoming so casual and carefree regarding the traffic regulations and civic sense. That is also why so many lives are lost on roads each year. It is time to take charge and encourage everyone around us to follow traffic rules. Also, if you find someone disregarding regulations, make sure to report them to the authorities so that appropriate action can be taken against them. That is the only way to make our roads safer.
