Ashneer Grover shot to fame in the first season of Shark Tank India. He quickly became part of countless memes and gathered a huge social media following. However, he faced several setbacks after the show ended. The former managing director of Bharat Pe got in trouble related to the company management. Still, he continues to be a fascinating figure for many. His book ‘Dogalapan’ can be seen on all the book stalls. Recently, he revealed that he has purchased MS Dhoni’s Mercedes GLS.

Mr. Ashneer Grover is back in news due to his absence from the latest Shark Tank season. He has been giving many interviews recently. In one such interview with the ‘Genuine Bande’ YouTube channel, he revealed that the Mercedes-Benz GLS in his garage was previously owned by MS Dhoni. As you can see in the above video, Ashneer also shared how he bought the SUV. Apparently, a used car dealer convinced him to buy the second-hand Mercedes-Benz. It was registered in Jharkhand and came with a fancy number (0007). This convinced Ashneer that it was owned by Dhoni himself.
Ashneer Grover has revealed that he prefers a used car over a brand-new one. Since luxury cars and SUVs depreciate very fast, one can purchase them for less than half of their original price. In this case, also he did not shy away from buying a used Mercedes-Benz as it was a lot cheaper than a brand-new one. MS Dhoni being the previous owner just added to the deal. A VIP number on the number plate and the state of registration were enough for Ashneer. He commented that since Dhoni is the only VIP in Jharkhand, he believed the dealer’s version of the story.

This Mercedes GLS SUV was actually owned by a real estate company. However, they might have gifted MS Dhoni the car at some point. The previous-generation model comes in a White color finish. It is not clear if it is the petrol or the diesel version. The luxury SUV was very popular in its segment. It is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 diesel and a 3.0-liter V6 petrol engines with the Mercedes’ trademark 4MATIC all-wheel-drive configuration. Both these powertrains come mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The popular 7-seater came at a whopping Rs 1.19 Crore (ex-showroom).

Ashneer Grover has an amazing collection of luxury cars. This includes the likes of the Mercedes Maybach S650, Mercedes Benz GLS 350, Porsche Cayman S, and Audi A6. He really seems to love the White color finish. His Mercedes Maybach S650 comes with a customized license plate that reads “ASHNEER G”. The premium luxury car comes with a starting price tag of Rs 2.5 crore. It is powered by a 4.0 liter V8 Biturbo petrol engine that offers 469 Bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque. For transmission, the Mercedes Maybach S650 comes with an automatic gearbox and an AWD system.
