The replicas of premium vehicles from China have always been in the news for various reasons
In this post, we take a look at the Chinese replica of the Mercedes G-Wagon in action. In recent times, we have seen many Chinese copycat models of some of the most expensive vehicles in the world. These include even the likes of the Rolls Royce and Land Rover Defender. That is something we know Chinese companies are famous for around the globe. For now, let us take a look at the details of what the fake G-Wagon can accomplish.
Chinese G-Wagon in Action
This video stems from Supercar Blondie on YouTube. The host unboxes the fake Chinese G-Wagon, which ended up costing him around $4,000 (approx. Rs 3.5 lakh). The dimensions of this replica are minute in comparison to the real SUV. Apart from that, the silhouette is similar to the real G-Wagon. As expected, the interior is basic. Still, it gets most amenities that any entry-level car in the world comes with. Nevertheless, there is no doubt that one can evidently identify its true origins.
In the second phase of the video, the host takes the fake G-Wagon on an off-road adventure alongside the real G-Wagon. For the first part, the replica performed decently well on an off-road terrain. However, its suspension system proved too uncomfortable for the occupants. Thereafter, the fake G-Wagon struggled in the drag event in the mud and had to be rescued. Needless to mention, the real Mercedes G-Wagon aced all these tasks without breaking a sweat. Overall, the $4,000 G-Wagon performed as expected.
My View
I shall keep bringing more such intriguing cases for our readers. Even though these cars don’t add any real value to the lives of most readers, it is great for entertainment purposes. Also, it reiterates what is going on in the Chinese automobile market, along with massive innovation in the real car models. In any case, I would love to experience something like this in real life, just for the fun of it all.
