Citroen C3 vs Tata Punch Drag Race

Citroen C3 vs Tata Punch Drag Race

Here is a drag race competition between a Citroen C3 and a Tata Punch. Both these are micro SUVs. Punch has garnered a lot of success in our market. It has been selling like hotcakes since its inception. Its imposing road presence, bold styling, latest tech features, and 5-star Global NCAP safety rating are some of the most common reasons for its mad success. To challenge its domination, the French carmaker introduced the C3 in our market. It has experienced a lukewarm response in terms of sales. Let us take a look at the details of a drag race between these two SUVs here.

Citroen C3 vs Tata Punch Drag Race

This video comes from Himanshu Thakran on YouTube. It captures a drag race by the YouTuber along with his colleague. For the first round, the vlogger drives the C3 while his friend takes the Punch. On the count of three, they press the accelerator pedal. Both SUVs are almost neck-to-neck for the initial few seconds. Thereafter, the C3 takes the lead and stays ahead throughout the course of the race. A similar result was obtained in the second round. Then they swapped the drivers to maintain consistency of results and remove driver-related errors. What didn’t change was the outcome. It can be safely concluded that the C3 trounced the Punch.

What We Think

Lately, YouTubers have widely embraced the practice of using drag races to evaluate and compare the performance of two cars. Nevertheless, it’s essential to recognize that relying on drag races for these assessments may not be the wisest choice. This is because drag races have the potential to cause long-term damage to vehicles, as most cars are not engineered for prolonged high-speed straight-line runs. Consequently, we strongly advise against attempting drag races with your own vehicle. In reality, the majority of people do not drive their cars in such an extreme manner, primarily for safety reasons.
