Cleveland CycleWerks Debuts in India at Auto Expo 2018

American Motorcycle Manufacturer, Cleveland CycleWerks has made its official debut in India at the ongoing Auto Expo 2018. The company has unveiled two of its 250cc motorcycle segment, the Ace, and the Misfit. While the Ace is available in three versions, the Ace Scrambler 250, the Ace Cafรฉ 250 and the Ace Deluxe 250, the Misfit is available only in one variant.

All the Ace models, as well as the Misfit, are powered by a 229 cc single cylinder engine that generates 15.4 hp of power at 7,000 rpm and 16 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. While the Ace range is available with a 14 litre fuel tank, the Misfit is offered with a 15 liter tank. The focus of Cleveland CycleWerks is to bring in retro-styled motorcycles with modern technology in them. That said, none of the motorcycles unveiled are available with ABS, even as an option. That is despite the fact that all the models are available with a disc brake setup at both ends.

Cleveland CycleWerks is looking at building a strong partners network in the country by identifying the right dealers in the 12-14 cities to ensure and maintain an exceptional standard of service to its customers in India. By end of this year, the brand aims to grow its family of partners by adding 35 key partners across the country.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Scott Colosimo, Founder, Cleveland CycleWerks said, โ€œIndia is today the largest two wheeler market in the world with nearly 18 million units sold last year and is a strategically important market for Cleveland CycleWerks. We are launching two amazing bikes keeping in mind the Indian rider, traffic, and road conditions. Aesthetically, the bikes stand out in the market.โ€

According to Sandeep S. Budala, Founder & Chairman, Laish Madison Motor Werks Pvt. Ltd., the company which is bringing the American brand in India, the company is delighted to bring Cleveland CycleWerks to India. He further added, โ€œWithout a doubt it is an exciting time for a globally establish brand like Cleveland to come to India as the customers are becoming more discerning by the day and aspiring to buy the very best. In the next 5 years we plan to ramp our presence across India and develop a cult following of millions.โ€

Pranav T. Desai, CEO, Laish Madison Motor Werks Pvt. Ltd. said, โ€œThe classic American biking experience come with the most reliable service network. With presence in top 12-14 states across metros and tier 1 cities we aim to sell 5000 bikes in the initial phase. Subsequently, we can significantly increase the numbers as our Pune facility has production capacity of 35,000 bikes per annum. We firmly believe that our customer centric approach and world class product offering will win the hearts of customers within a short span of time.โ€
