Famous Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar was recently spotted in his new Mercedes Maybach GLS600. In the last couple of years, I have reported innumerable celebrities from Bollywood opting for this opulent beast. It does most things right, including performance, appeal, road presence, cabin and image. Farhan loves to splurge on high-end luxury cars. Apart from being an actor, he is an accomplished filmmaker and singer. We all know that he is the son of the legendary Javed Akhtar. For now, let us take a look at the details of his new automobile.

The couple stepped out of their imposing Mercedes Maybach GLS600 and greeted the paparazzis. Thereafter, they posed for a few photos before heading inside the building. They were at a venue for what looked like the Diwali celebrations. In fact, the media personnel wished them Happy Diwali during the time the pics were being taken. Clearly, the festive vibe is in the air.
The luxury SUV boasts a colossal 4.0-litre Biturbo V8 engine paired with a 48-volt electrical system, which produces an impressive 557 hp and 730 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. Performing transmission duties is a 9-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels via Mercedes’ 4MATIC system. This combination launches the massive SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, which is mighty impressive. Currently, the SUV ranges from Rs 3.17 Crore to Rs 3.71 Crore, ex-showroom.

It is a potent German SUV with a powerful 2.0-litre diesel engine, which belts out a decent 190 hp and 400 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. Performing transmission duties is an 8-speed automatic gearbox powering all four wheels via BMW’s familiar xDrive system. In the most aggressive setting, the 3.0-litre mill generates a mammoth 360 hp and 500 Nm, good for a 0-100 km/h sprint time of just 4.9 seconds.
