The first MG Select showroom has finally been unveiled in Thane, Mumbai. This marks a new chapter in MG’s India operations. Remember that MG launched its first car in India back in 2019. It was the Hector mid-size SUV, which is still on sale today. Over the course of the last 6 years, it has done decent sales and expanded to many parts of the country. It offers cars ranging from large ICE SUVs to compact electric cars. However, with the MG Select, the car marque opens a new dimension for its future. It will sell its premium products like the upcoming Cyberster and M9 via these stores.
First MG Select Showroom Inaugurates in India
JSW MG Motor India has launched a new kind of car showroom in Thane, Maharashtra. Called MG SELECT, this is the brand’s first experience centre in the country. The aim is to offer a new take on automotive luxury, with a focus on design, technology, and sustainability. The new showroom doesn’t look like a regular car dealership. It’s designed to feel like an art gallery, with open, white spaces and a calm, modern vibe. The goal is to keep the focus on the car, which is displayed like a work of art.
These centres are meant to give visitors a more personalised and relaxed way to explore MG’s vehicles. The setup allows customers to enjoy the look and feel of each model, with fewer distractions. MG plans to open 14 of these centres in 13 major Indian cities by the end of the third quarter of 2025. Two special vehicles will be on display at the MG SELECT centres. The MG Cyberster, which is the fastest MG ever made, and the MG M9, a luxury limousine, will be available for people to see up close. This new approach shows MG’s effort to offer more than just a showroom – it wants to create a complete experience for car buyers in India.
