People have started getting the deliveries of the Mahindra Scorpio Classic and the first ownership review is out.

The first ownership review of the Mahindra Scorpio Classic is out. This video captures the owner narrating his experience with the new Scorpio Classic S11. He has driven the SUV for over 1,750 km until now. There are a few changes that he has made to the SUV. He mentions that people looking to buy a rugged SUV with utilitarian characteristics could opt for the Classic. Those who are looking for modern cabin with tech features should go for the Scorpio N.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic Ownership Review

The owner has installed high-profile tyres from Pirelli while keeping the diameter same (17-inch). He wanted to buy the S11 of the last-gen Scorpio. But he ended up buying the new-gen model which differentiates itself from the front with the new logo, slightly tweaked grille and horizontal LED DRLs on the bumper. On the sides, the alloy wheel design is new while the side body panel reads Scorpio. At the rear, the new logo makes an appearance and the taillamps have been re-styled a bit. Overall, the design, shape and silhouette of the Scorpio Classic remain similar to the outgoing model.

On the inside, the owner feels that the touchscreen infotainment system feels aftermarket, there is no reverse parking camera, the turn indicators should have been on the ORVMs, the touchscreen display doesn’t offer vehicle information as in the previous model, the space inside the cabin is decent, the owner feels that the suspension has changed which ahs reduced body roll and the comfort of the passengers is increased. Overall, he is satisfied with the new Scorpio Classic.

Specs

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic comes with a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that produces 130 hp and 300 Nm of peak power and torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox with a cable shift for quick and precise gearshifts. This engine is 55 kg lighter than the outgoing model making it more efficient. The prices range from Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh, ex-showroom. What are your thoughts about the new Scorpio Classic?
