Honda SP125 vs SP160 – Specs

The Honda SP125 comes with a 123.94cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which generates a healthy 10.87 PS @7,500 RPM and 10.9 Nm @6,000 RPM of peak power and torque, respectively. This mill pairs with a 5-speed transmission with a multiplate wet clutch. Moreover, it has a wheelbase of 1,285 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 11L. At the front, the bike boasts a 130 mm disc, and similarly, at the rear, there is a 130 mm disc. The ground clearance is a decent 160 mm.

On the other hand, the Honda SP160 carries a 162.71cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which is good for 13.18 PS @7,500 RPM and 14.8 Nm @5,250 RPM of maximum power and torque, respectively. Performing transmission duties is a 5-speed manual gearbox with a multiplate wet clutch. The wheelbase is 1,347 mm, and the fuel tank can carry 12L of petrol. It boasts an impressive ground clearance of 177 mm. At the front, it uses a massive 276 mm disc, while the rear wheel gets a 130 mm disc.

Honda SP125 vs SP160 – Price

The Honda SP125 retails between Rs 93,247 and Rs 1.02 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. On the other hand, the Honda SP160 ranges from Rs 1.23 lakh to Rs 1.29 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Clearly, the SP125 has an edge, but it belongs to a different segment. Hence, this is understandable.

Features Comparison

Both these bikes come with modern amenities to pamper the buyers. That is something new-age bike customers want from their motorcycles. Some of the main highlights include digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, Call/SMS alert, USB charging port, digital speedometer, tripmeter and odometer, passenger footrest, Honda RoadSync mobile application, LED headlamp and LED taillamp, etc. Note that only the SP160 gets a digital tachometer, DRLs, while only the SP125 boasts a Combi Brake System. All in all, both these are compelling propositions and have their strengths and weaknesses.
