Hyundai Aura Roof Chopped Off

In a bizarre turn of events, the roof of a Hyundai Aura was chopped off. The aim is to achieve a sporty look. However, there could be numerous issues with such strange modifications. Aura is one of the most popular compact sedans in the country. It is a popular choice not just for private individuals, but also for commercial fleet operators. With multiple powertrain options and tons of modern equipment, it rivals the mighty Maruti Dzire and Honda Amaze in India. Let us take a look at the details of this questionable Aura and why you should avoid it.

Roof of Hyundai Aura Chopped

This post comes from bindusagar_ns200 on Instagram. The visuals capture a unique sight. A Hyundai Aura arrives in the frame without a roof. There are some body graphics to accentuate its appeal as well. It looks like the car modification house has gone into detail to completely remove the roof, paint the body panels and even install a rear spoiler. The driver is performing stunts on the road in this strange sedan. We must admit this has to be the first time we have witnessed a Hyundai Aura with this level of modification.

We have experienced a monumental surge in aftermarket car modifications in the last couple of years. People are becoming more conscious about their vehicles and want their vehicles to be different from the crowd. On the other hand, car shop professionals now have even more access to world-class spare parts and automobile components. Therefore, they are able to make all sorts of customizations on every vehicle. As a result, people simply walk into the shops and express their desires. The car modifiers are able to deliver just about everything without any issues.

Why Avoid It

We have reported such cases with the Maruti Jimny in the past as well. Now, removing the roof of the car is not simple. It bears long-term permanent effects on the vehicle. For one, the roof is a major part of any car with a monocoque chassis. Essentially, removing the roof will negatively impact the strength of the vehicle. Cars are designed to transfer loads and stresses along the side pillars, roofs, etc. However, if you omit this aspect, you are jeopardizing the build quality of the car. Not to mention, the safety of the passengers is also compromised. Finally, such modifications are illegal in India. If the cops spot you, there is bound to be a challan. We advise our readers to stay away from such activities.
