Hyundai Creta Deepika Padukone Maruti Suzuki Female Brand Endorser

In a progressive step, Maruti Suzuki Senior Executive Offer, Marketing and Sales, Shashank Srivastava confirmed that the company is open to female endorsers. Remember Hyundai Motor India recently included Deepika Padukone as its brand ambassador. Hence, a trend in the industry is emerging. Since this is reflective of societal norms, the image of women is changing a lot as well. In fact, the number of women buying cars as a percentage of the overall sales is higher than ever. Hence, it makes sense to invest in an advertisement partnership with a female celebrity.

Maruti Suzuki Open to Female Endorsers

Over the years, Maruti Suzuki has had top A-listers from Bollywood including Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Rajkummar Rao, Varun Dhawan, R Madhavan and Abhishek Bachchan as brand ambassadors. However, that was the time when the automotive industry was considered a strictly male-dominated affair. Today, there are over 5,000 women as a part of the Maruti Suzuki workforce in India. Hence, things are changing and more women are getting into this industry. Mr Shashank Srivastava mentions that it has sold over 9 lakh vehicles to women in the last 6 years. This number is rising rapidly.
