In a latest incident, a Hyundai Verna was crushed between a truck and a Mahindra Bolero pickup. Verna is a 5-star NCAP safety-rated premium mid-size sedan. It is a name which has been extremely popular in our market for years. In its current iteration, it boasts the title of being the most powerful vehicle in its category. In real-life situations, the sedan has performed well in undesirable situations, justifying its safety prowess. For now, let us take a look at the details of this recent case.
Hyundai Verna Crushed Between Truck and Pickup
The details of this case come from Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel features content around the performances of cars in terrible situations. On this occasion, a case has emerged from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The entire chain of sequence has been recorded in the dashcam of the Hyundai Verna. The driver of the Verna was behind a truck on a highway. As the truck came to a standstill, the Verna stopped behind it. Unfortunately, a Mahindra Bolero Pickup driver was not able to control his vehicle and ended was hitting the halted Verna from behind. Interestingly, even that has been recorded in the dashcam footage.
Now what is interesting is the fact that it looks like the pickup driver was not slowing down despite watching the Verna come to a halt for some reason. As a result, the rear section of the sedan suffered severe damage. In fact, since it hit the truck in the front, even the fascia experienced deformation. Thankfully, no one got injured in this event. The host of the video even mentions that the driver of the Verna thinks that the driver of the pickup might have briefly fallen asleep. That explains why he wouldn’t brake despite seeing the Verna stop from afar. In any case, the vehicle performed well despite being crushed between two vehicles.
