The electric two-wheeler market in India is growing rapidly as legacy players and new startups keep introducing new models
In this post, we compare the newly launched Kinetic DX Electric and Bajaj Chetak Electric on the basis of specs, price and features. In the last few years, electric scooters have been getting quite popular in our market. In general, the EV industry is flourishing with tons of new passenger vehicles and two-wheelers, along with the development of infrastructure and the introduction of new policies. Therefore, it is almost a foregone conclusion that the future of mobility is electric. For now, let us compare these two electric scooters thoroughly.
Kinetic DX Electric vs Bajaj Chetak Electric – Price Comparison
For this post, we are taking the two similarly priced variants of both these electric scooters to have an apple-to-apple comparison. The new Kinetic DX+ bears a retail sticker of Rs 1,17,499, ex-showroom. On the other hand, the Bajaj Chetak 3502 is on sale for Rs 1,22,499, ex-showroom. Hence, the DX+ has a slight advantage in this regard, even though the difference is not massive.
Price (ex-sh.) | Kinetic DX+ | Bajaj Chetak 3502 |
Rs 1,17,499 | Rs 1,22,499 |
Kinetic DX Electric vs Bajaj Chetak Electric – Specs Comparison
The Kinetic DX+ comes with a 2.6 kWh LFP battery, which offers a claimed range of 116 km (IDC) on a single charge. Note that the LFP battery offers a longer life and better thermal performance in comparison to NMC batteries. There are three ride modes on offer – Range, Power, and Turbo. The top speed is limited to 90 km/h, which is quite decent.
On the other hand, the Bajaj Chetak 3502 boasts a larger 3.5 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 153 km on a single charge. However, the top speed is 73 km/h, which is lower than the DX+. The electric scooter is available with two ride modes – Eco and Sports. Hence, due to the larger battery, the range on the 3502 is also more.
Specs | Kinetic DX+ | Bajaj Chetak 3502 |
Battery | 2.6 kWh | 3.5 kWh |
Range | 116 km | 153 km |
