KTM India has temporarily slashed the prices of the 250 Adventure. The motorcycle now costs Rs 2,30,003, which is almost Rs 25,000 lower than the Rs 2,54,995 it used to cost until now. It’s, however, worth mentioning here that this is a temporary reduction as the lower price is being pushed as a limited period offer. This price reduction has come into effect in order to push Duke customers to instead buy the adventure variant, which is now merely Rs 1,276 costlier.

As we said, the price cut is a limited period offer that came into effect on July 14 and will last till August 31. As the sale for Adventure models hasn’t been too great, it looks like the temporary price cut has been made to lure buyers of the Duke into rather investing in a slightly more sophisticated product. It must be noted here that so far, the high price tag of the KTM 25 Adventure has been the biggest deterrent for many motorcycle buyers. The temporary price cut comes soon after Bajaj decided to give the Dominar 250 a hefty price cut of Rs 16,500.
The KTM Adventure 250 went on sale in India in November last year. Back the, it was priced at Rs 2.48 lakh. Powering the motorcycle is a 250cc single-cylinder engine from the Duke 250. It produces 30PS of maximum power and 24Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox with the gear ratios being similar to what you get on the Duke 250. In fact, this is the same engine that is not only used on the Duke but also on the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250.
