The upcoming electric coupe SUV will be the next product in the already expanding electric lineup of Mahindra in India
The Mahindra BE.07 was seen performing road tests in India for the first time. The last couple of years have been dominated by the new breed of electric SUVs from Mahindra under its two sub-brands – XEV and BE. In addition to the BE 6 already on sale in India, the BE.07 will be the second BE model and fourth born-electric SUV after the XEV 9e, XEV 9S and BE 6. Clearly, the brand’s strong focus on electric models for future mobility is evident. For now, let us check out the details of the upcoming EV.
Mahindra BE.07 Spotted Testing For The First Time
The spy image contains a heavily camouflaged SUV plying on the road amidst busy traffic. The overall shape of the SUV reminds us of the concept BE.07 first showcased a few years ago. At the front, we see an upright stance with a sloping bonnet line and sleek headlamps. On the sides, the round wheel arches swallow the alloy wheels rather well. The tail end contains a long rear overhang and the overall shape confirms that it won’t be a coupe SUV like the BE 6. Unfortunately, the glimpse of the interior cabin is not available.
Talking about the specifications, even though no official information has been revealed, it won’t be wrong to assume that the upcoming EV will borrow battery packs from the BE 6. This means we will see the BE.07 with 59 kWh and 79 kWh batteries. Going by the concept model, the length could be in the vicinity of 4,566 mm, the width could be around 1,900, the height could be around 1,660 mm, while the wheelbase could be approximately 2,775 mm. Being a 5-seater SUV, it will aim at regular buyers and not at those who want a flashy coupe EV. More details will emerge in the coming days as the launch is planned for 2027.

From what I’ve observed over the years, Mahindra’s aggressive push into born-electric SUVs is beginning to take clear shape. The BE.07 appears to be positioned as a more practical alternative to the sportier BE 6, targeting mainstream family SUV buyers rather than niche EV enthusiasts. If Mahindra manages to price it strategically and retain the strong range figures expected from the INGLO platform, the BE.07 could further strengthen the brand’s early lead in India’s premium electric SUV space.
