The Indian auto giant has been constantly upgrading the BE 6 lineup with some pretty compelling special edition models
In this post, I am comparing the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition and Batman Edition on the basis of design, features, price and more. The latest breed of INGLO-based electric SUVs has been all the rage in the Indian automobile market for a while now. These have captured the attention of the potential buyers courtesy of bold design language, striking road presence, exhilarating performance and a plethora of the latest tech, convenience and safety amenities. For now, let us compare two such versions of the BE 6 here.
Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition vs Batman Edition – Design Comparison
Since these two are special versions of the same EV, the prime distinction lies in the way they look. Talking specifically, the overall design of the cars is similar, but the dedicated aesthetic and graphic differentiations are what set the two apart. The new Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition embodies a unique appearance with elements like an all-new signature bumper, race-inspired graphics on side doors, fender, and bonnet, Firestorm Orange FIA X Formula E edition plaque, Sporty body decals, Firestorm Orange-coloured brake callipers, Sporty Painted Brake Calliper, Formula E-inspired custom startup animation, and “Mahindra Formula E” branding on windshield. You wouldn’t mistake it for any other version of the BE 6.
On the other hand, the Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition is for those who love the character. All elements of the electric SUV carry the essence of Batman. This incorporates things like the Satin Black colour, Dark Knight Batman logo on the front fender, two co-branded logos at the rear, Batman projection as a carpet lamp when one switches the car ON and OFF, Batman logo-inspired glass roof with illumination, 20-inch alloy wheels and much more. It is evident that the exterior appearance of the two SUVs is totally different despite their similar design.
Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition vs Batman Edition – Features Comparison
Again, this is quite interesting since the two cars are practically the same. Hence, there aren’t any new features on either of the two. Still, the special design details alter the feel of the cabin. For instance, the Formula E Edition possesses Vibrant Firestorm Orange-themed interiors, Formula E logo uniquely placed on passenger dashboard panel and seats, FIA branding on seat belts, Firestorm Orange-accented steering wheel, in-touch controller, electronic parking brake, start/stop button, and door open straps, Black and Orange-themed dynamic speaker pattern and wireless charging dock, Formula E-inspired custom startup animation, Formula E-inspired exterior engine sounds, Race car-inspired start/stop button flap, Translucent Door Inserts, etc.
On the other hand, the Batman Edition comes with distinct Batman insignias inside the cabin, including on the upholstery, a key fob with a serial number badge on the centre console. I particularly like the illumination on the glass roof, which gives it a cool vibe. Apart from that, the SUVs come with all the latest tech and convenience amenities like:
- MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture) with Advanced Neural Engine
- Dual 12.3-inch Floating Screens for Instrument Cluster and Infotainment
- WiFi 6.0, 24 GB RAM, 128 GB Storage
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295
- 16-speaker Harmon Kardon Sound System with Dolby Atmos

- 360-degree Cameras

- Signature Sonic Tunes Curated by AR Rahman
Specs and Performance
The Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition and Batman Edition share the powertrain options as well. This means that the SUVs carry a 79 kWh battery pack. It powers the electric motor to generate a healthy 210 kW (286 PS) and 380 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. With a 180 kW DC fast charger, you can juice up the battery from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes. To ensure adequate performance across various road conditions, there are multiple regeneration and drive modes. The ground clearance is a usable 207 mm and the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 6.7 seconds in the most aggressive settings.

My View
Now, choosing between these two special edition models depends entirely on personal preference. We know that Batman fans can be quite hardcore. They love to splurge on merchandise and goodies. Hence, the BE 6 Batman Edition is specifically designed for their desires. On the other hand, those who want the racing flair can opt for the Formula E Edition. In any case, you can’t go wrong with either of these.
