Mahindra Thar Pulls Dumper Truck

In this weird instance, an old Mahindra Thar pulls a colossal dumper truck. People do all kinds of strange activities with the hardcore off-roader. It has become one of the most sought-after off-road vehicles in the country, with the latest version experiencing an unprecedented surge in demand. In some cities, potential buyers are now facing waiting times of over a year for specific models. The Thar has consistently been the top choice for off-road enthusiasts, maintaining a strong presence in the market for quite some time. However, the introduction of the new 5-door Maruti Jimny has provided a formidable rival. Despite this, the Thar’s popularity remains steadfast. Here are the details of this latest case.

This video comes from Gadi Goda Experiment on YouTube. The YouTuber gathers his team to perform this weird experiment. He decided to pull a 15,000 kg truck with his old-gen Mahindra Thar SUV. Now, we have seen people do all kinds of questionable stunts with the Thar. This is the latest addition to that list. The team takes the two vehicles out on the road. They connect the rear section of the Thar to the front section of the truck with an iron bar. To keep the truck in neutral, they have to keep it ON.

Interestingly, the YouTuber presses the accelerator hard. As he does so, the tyres of the SUV squeal and skid. In fact, due to hard acceleration, there are black tyre marks on the road. However, the Thar is able to pull the massive truck eventually. It does so for a small distance. Since the rubber of the tyre was getting burnt quite aggressively, the YouTuber decided not to overdo it. In any case, it becomes clear that the SUV has enough power to take on this huge truck. Still, we won’t recommend this to anyone.

What We Think

In today’s YouTube landscape, many content creators frequently employ challenges to assess the performance of different vehicles. However, this approach may not be the most prudent, as subjecting cars to such rigorous tests can result in enduring damage. Typically, cars are not used in the manner these challenges demand, with intense acceleration in a straight line. Thus, attempting these tests with your own vehicle is ill-advised due to safety concerns and the potential for mechanical damage to your car. We strongly recommend against participating in such stunts. These competitions do not provide a comprehensive view because everyday driving rarely involves such aggressive manoeuvres. It is wiser to prioritize both your safety and the long-term well-being of your vehicle.
